5 Things to Check Before Document Translation in Riyadh

Preparing Your Documents for Translation

A few simple checks can help reduce avoidable corrections and delays. This video from Lexicology Translation Office (LTB) explains five things to review before sending your documents for translation in Riyadh.

  1. Send a clear, complete copy
Make sure every page is readable, including stamps, handwritten notes, and text near the edges. Include the reverse side if it contains information.
  2. Confirm official name spellings
Provide the relevant passport or official identity document as a spelling reference. Highlight any differences between documents before translation begins.
  3. Review dates and numbers
Check identification numbers, certificate numbers, amounts, and dates. Tell the translator if a date is Hijri or Gregorian when this is unclear. Unclear information should be flagged for clarification.
  4. Include all relevant pages
Send attachments, endorsements, and supporting pages that form part of the document. Missing pages can leave the translation incomplete.
  5. Confirm the receiving organisation’s requirements
Ask which language and format are required and whether certification or attestation is needed. Requirements vary, and acceptance is determined by the receiving organisation.
